When living in rented property it is important to maintain good terms with the landlord. Whether you plan on staying short-term or renting for the long run, a landlord is always great for a reference later on in life and will inevitably be the person who decides if they wish to allow you to reside in their property.
Inventory of Rental Property
Before you initially move in to the property, meet with the landlord at the property. Take a pad and pen with you and walk around the whole property and its surrounds, which you will be responsible for. Write down any damage to the property, such as stains in the carpets or scuffs on the walls.
